Deentechblo: How to unlock your BlackBerry Continue......

Deentechblog: How to unlock your BlackBerry: First I feel I should explain why you would need to unlock your BlackBerry. Unlocking your BlackBerry is basically saying that you have unlocked the locking restriction of your SIM Card. Everyphone that is purchased from a carrier is locked to that carrier. This means that your phone will only accept this carrier's SIM Card. So if you are using AT&T in the USA, you travel to the UK, and wish to put a Vodafone SIM Card in your phone, you wouldn't be able to until your phone is unlocked.
So, now that we have establishedwhy you would unlock a phone let's figure out how...
The first thing you will need in order to unlock your phone is an unlock code. These codes can be purchased from several different companies and soon will be available on BlackBerryandBeyond. You will need to know your IMEI number for your BB. To get this go to Options, Status. The IMEI may alsobe found on the white sticker under the battery (sometimes hard to read--make sure you read it right!).
In certain situations carriers havebeen known to give out Unlock Codes for free, however this is not often and usually takes weeks to obtain the codes. Some have policies that vary from having an active account in good-standing (good payment history) to having been a customer for 90 days or more. Inmy opinion its easier and quickerto just purchase the code and enter it yourself. The cost is minimal and It's worth not to have to deal with the carriers and waiting the time.
Unlock codes are particular to each BlackBerry and cannot be used more that once or for different BlackBerry's. Do not purchase your unlock code from a friend who has one and says the code was for his BB. Unlock codes can take anywhere from 4 hours to 10 days to obtain. SomeBlackBerrys simply can't be unlocked for various reasons: The IMEI number cannot be found in the RIM database, or thedevice was a pre-release, not-to-be-sold device.
Now that you have your Unlock Code, you will need to follow these steps :
